Welcome to RescueArtWorks! We are a small business in Virginia selling works of art to raise funds for nonprofit animal rescues. Thank you for honoring your pet’s life by purchasing a gift that gives twice! This listing is for one stainless steel cremation pendant on a stainless steel necklace chain. The pendant has an empty chamber that is designed to hold the ashes of your beloved pet upon his or her passing. We have many other dog and cat-themed cremation pendants available in our store if you would like to check them out, too, to make sure you are selecting your favorite. We do also sell all of our cremation pendants by themselves and on key rings as well (as seen in the photos). You can view these in our eBay store, or contact us for assistance. Again, this listing here is for one pendant with one necklace chain. The other photos are just to show you different angles of the pendant and give you a good feel for the size. We normally send this pendant on a unisex 20″ chain. If you need a different size, leave a note with payment. We usually have in stock lengths from 16″ – 28″, and three thicknesses to choose from – just message us about the length and thickness you are interested in, and we will be happy to help. We assemble these ourselves so it is no problem to request your desired size! This is one of our largest cremation pendants. It measures about 49mm or one and 15/16 inch tall from the tip of the loop that holds the necklace to the bottom. The width is about 11mm (about 1/2 inch). This pendant is designed to hold ashes and is also large enough to hold a few strands of fur (long hair would need to be folded). It is also large enough to hold a touch of ashes from multiple pets that have passed away over time. We have a smaller cylinder in our store if you would prefer something more delicate and feminine, as well as a number of heart-shaped ones, and more. Some women prefer this more rugged style, too! Please feel free to browse around our store to make sure you select the one that is right for you. The pendant can be filled using a small scoop or a tiny funnel. If you do not have a funnel, you can make one out of a sheet of paper, and it will work just fine. First, unscrew the cap on the bottom of the pendant. Place the tip of the funnel into the hole of the chamber. Add a small bit of ashes to the funnel, and carefully tap the funnel until the chamber is filled. A toothpick can be used to guide the ashes, if needed. Be sure to screw the cap back on tightly (but be careful not to over-tighten). Then, the pendant can be worn next to your heart at all times. To form a permanent seal, you can use a touch of metal-to-metal adhesive. Some people prefer them to remain able to open to scatter the ashes in meaningful places, and then be refilled back at home. Stainless steel is extremely durable and can be worn even during bathing. This includes the necklace chain, which will not rust, tarnish, or discolor no matter how many times you get it wet. Again, if you are going to be wearing it or using it as a key chain, be sure to seal it with a touch of superglue. Jostling can cause unsealed pendants to open unexpectedly and spill ashes. You can clean the pendant with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. It will not damage any part of the pendant The pendant will come sealed in a tiny plastic zip-loc bag, with a little card with information about RescueArtWorks! A portion of the proceeds goes directly towards helping homeless animals find their way to new loving homes. It’s a great way to honor your own dog or cat’s life. If this is for a gift, we are more than happy to send it to your recipient and can write a thoughtful little note for you, if you leave us a message letting us know how you want it to read. We also can tastefully gift wrap it in some colorful tissue paper if you request it (it’s free!) Just please leave a detailed note with payment so that we understand exactly how you would like it. **If you need more than the quantity we have listed of this pendant, just send us a message!!**We also offer a discount on bulk orders starting at a minimum number of 10 items. You can mix and match from any items in our store to meet the 10 items minimum. Buyers will receive one pendant urn sealed in a little plastic zip-loc bag, which will be mailed in a small padded mailing envelope. Items are mailed through the United States Postal Service, using First Class shipping, and normally arrive within a week after purchase within the US, but this is NOT a guarantee!! Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for delays caused by the USPS, and they do happen from time to time. International shipping takes longer, of course. Canadian orders take 1-2 weeks on average and overseas orders are usually 3-4 weeks. Every now and again a package will get held up in customs and take longer. We have no explanation for the variance, nor any control over it, so please do not order if you need it by a certain deadline, unless you are willing to upgrade to USPS Priority or Priority Express shipping (USA only).
